| in 2003, area88 came back from u.s.a and he
noticed there was no liquid funk style drum n bass party in
japan. he knows there are lots of fine tunes on liquid funk
side of drum n bass and he wanted to spread them all over japan. |

| area88 decided to challenge feeding a new style
to drum n bass scene in japan. he started the smooth side of
drum n bass party, "newtypeboys party" w/ help of kangarou in
the beginning of 2003. This was an unique style party ever in
japan and it attracted the attention. as they proceeded the
party, he found many great talents such as rcn, eye, robo, balse,
kiyomi and cuy. As a result, they joined "newtypeboys"
and its still growing. |

| our vision about "newtypeboys party"
is for everyone to share the enjoyable time w/ great music.
djs, mcs, crouds, and everyone is in same position, and there
is no such borders among them. this is a good point that everyone
feels the sense of unity. we listen, dance, drink, talk, and
feel good. |

| everyone thinks drum n bass is based on only
"drum" and "bass". but area88 thinks melody is also the important
factor in drum n bass. so far, drum n bass has been developed
w/ infinite styles of breaks and basses, and thats what makes
people in drum n bass scenes interested. but there are lots
of possibilities that drum n bass will grow w/ "melody" as well
as "drum" and "bass". area88 thinks "melody" will add emotional
elements to drum n bass and he believes many people will be
attracted to drum n bass as a valuable music. now, "newtypeboys"
is trying to inspire all people there to love drum n bass. |
